Stephen Reid
Managing Director
Mr. Reid has spent the last sixteen years in the pharmaceutical
and biotech industry developing a background in product commercialization
opportunity identification, commercial strategy development, and
market planning. His industry roles including marketing leadership
in several therapeutic areas including asthma, gastrointestinal
disease, and solid organ transplantation. The strengths in his diverse
and varied background include:
- In-licensing valuation of novel product technologies
- New product marketing strategy development and launch
planning
- Commercialization partnership analysis supporting
clinical development and marketing of pharmaceuticals
- Product Pricing for brand and generic pharmaceuticals
in retail and institutional payer channels
- U.S. and European payer reimbursement strategy
development and planning
- Distribution channel development strategies for
novel therapeutics
- Promotional response measurement and analysis
- Sales force infrastructure design
Prior to co-founding Insight Strategy Advisors, Mr. Reid was a Vice
President at True North Partners. His industry experience includes
product management responsibility for respiratory products at Rhone-Poulenc
Rorer; senior product management responsibility at Astra Merck for
the Prilosec franchise; and marketing leadership for the biotech firm
Sangstat. Mr. Reid also gained corporate finance experience prior
to his entry into the pharmaceutical industry.
Mr. Reid holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts
from St. Marys College of CA.
Harry G. Schiavi
Managing Director
Mr. Schiavi has spent his entire 17 year professional career in
the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industry. He is
particularly experienced in all aspects of product commercialization
ranging from pre-commercialization planning and opportunity assessment,
product marketing, and sales strategy development and execution.
He has held industry leadership and advisory roles in several therapeutic
areas including cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, dermatology, urology,
and oncology. His strengths include:

- New Product Marketing Strategy Development
- Assessment of Commercialization Partners supporting
clinical development, marketing, and sales functions for the pharmaceutical,
biotech, and medical device industry

with product marketing and sales initiatives
His industry experience includes various marketing and sales positions
for cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and urology products at Merck
Sharp and Dohme and Astra Merck including:
- Responsibility for all product marketing to Pharmacy
Benefit Managers
- Advisory responsibility on marketing products to
key payer customer segments including health plans, insurers,
group purchasing agencies, integrated health systems, and employer
coalitions
- Commercial development interim management positions
within several biopharmaceutical and medical device companies
including roles as Director of Commercial Operations and VP of
Business Development.
Prior to Co-founding Insight Strategy Advisors, Mr. Schiavi was a
Vice President at True North Partners.
Mr. Schiavi holds a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College in North
Carolina.
