Cyrus Chowdhury, Vice President of the Global Market Access (GMA) practice at Insight Strategy Advisors, is launching the annual HTA Demonstration Study.

The GMA practice is working with HTA and government officials in over 20 markets to better understand the issues they are facing whilst managing efficient healthcare resource allocation.

“We as a global industry have moved far beyond struggling devoutly with the QALY in England. Our concerns have multiplied as the world economy has matured. We are now observing evidence networks in Europe, the emerging role of HTA in Latin America, and eager capacity building in Asia. We must better understand each market’s capabilities, and how they are being leveraged to manage access to pharmaceutical interventions, both new and old.”

The study will be launched during the first week of April, and results will be collated later this spring. “We are grateful to our colleagues around the world who are participating in this study. By better understanding the global environment and each market’s issues, we can work together to find mutually agreeable solutions to optimize healthcare expenditure in both developed and emerging economies. In the end, we all want speedier access to the best therapies. This study will guide our planning efforts.”
